Legal Recruiter FAQs
for Candidates

Cost.
Candidates do not pay a fee to work with us. We have agreements with law firms and companies who have retained us to find candidates. This is called a contingency search.

Privacy.
We only submit you to roles where you have given us specific permission to do so. We will always make sure your information is treated confidentially by prospective employers.

Relationships.
We have relationships with clients, both lawyers and internal recruiters, so we can explain gaps in your resume from a trusted source.

Jobs.
We recruit for the jobs that our clients ask us to assist with. If there are no open roles, we can circulate a “blind bio” with your permission that describes your background without including identifying information and asks the client if they have a need in their organization.

Not an Employment Agency.
Legal recruiters can help some candidates but not all. Some candidates, like attorneys right out of law school, or wishing to shift practice areas may not benefit from working wth a legal recruiter. I am happy to offer a consultation to see if the relationship is a fit!

About Me

Cristina Pozefsky is an accomplished legal recruiter with a national focus based in Denver, Colorado. She is an attorney and member of the Colorado bar. Her ties to the national legal market run deep and wide, developed over two plus decades as an attorney in private practice and government in the District of Columbia, as well as her several years as a successful legal recruiter in Colorado, D.C., and Florida.

Prior to starting CBP Firm, Cristina worked as the Director of Attorney Recruiting for a women-owned and operated recruiting firm. In this role, she successfully architected countless attorney and legal professional placements – at all levels – for Am Law 100 and other national firms, boutique firms, and corporate legal departments.

As a lawyer herself, Cristina understands the perspective of both the candidate and the employer. Her honest and prescient approach to recruiting doesn’t permit her to make placements that will only survive the recruitment guarantee period. Instead, she seeks to find and cultivate relationships between firms and candidates that are built-to-last, relationships that fit and make sense for the long-term.

Cristina practiced labor and employment law for more than 16 years, both at a prominent national law firm and at an independent federal agency in Washington, D.C. She received her B.A. in Political Science from Trinity College in Connecticut. She attended law school at Catholic University’s Columbus School of Law, where she graduated Cum Laude. She lives in Denver with her husband, two boys, and Daisy, her precious yellow Labrador Retriever.
